The talisman or lucky charms: a central theme in their project.

They expanded the idea of the talisman beyond borders, designing sculptures inspired by popular talismans worldwide.

Meaning of "DASHA" :

Originally, the abbreviation of "Dan" and "Shana," DASHA revealed a meaning similar to their project: "horizon," "infinite," "gift of God." This positive and optimistic connotation, linked to the "divine," was a revelation for them.

In our time, who wouldn't succumb to the purchase of a talisman, an amulet, with the hope of improving their daily life?

This object, presented in various forms according to our cultures, beliefs, and education, has the purpose of protecting and reassuring.

We wanted to develop this reassuring and protective aspect through our work, adding an aesthetic dimension. Thus, in your home, every day, a work of art pursues two objectives: beautifying and protecting your space.

It is essential to understand the origin of this project, the people behind it, and the processes used to bring it to life.

Who are we?

We are two art and architecture enthusiasts, Shana and Dan Benchetrit, partners both in this project and in life. Dan, an interior architect trained in Paris and having worked for luxury houses, brings his unique sense of aesthetics. Shana, immersed in an artistic environment since childhood, joined her father's gallery in 2007 after studying art market in Paris.

How did we develop this idea?

The idea emerged from Shana's passion for the eye, symbolizing protection. Dan, with his creative talent, brought this idea to life, resulting in a series of unique sculptures. Together, they decided to develop different talismans using the same process.

What process did we use?

Having observed various materials and techniques while working for the gallery, Dan was drawn to crystalline resin, a transparent, resistant, and malleable material. Living in Miami, the idea that the sculpture could reflect the sunlight seemed obvious.
